Of Hearts in Attack

Freezing blue cardiac-arresting scares,
the flip'sided street marathon undertoning
running ripp'd paper rivers,
wandering their words with wound'rous power.

My pupil, deflected and dejected,
turn ye then thee thou'sand dressings of injurious sea-tines;
Pealing resonant gauze over burstingly bloody drums,
tuned with taut snares meant for the
preying inhabitants of peopled principalities.

Of coursing through pathways,
neurologic impulses intrepidly
winning relayed deliverances, on into
yesterday's endings;
giving credited distinction
to second-placing 'tickers'.
